Through our deep understanding and expertise in building pathology, and having represented hundreds of claimants and defendants in 'leaky building claims' throughout the country, we provide robust solutions to weathertight design issues based on the lessons learned from our leaky building experience as well as international best practice.
Our process starts from an in-depth review of the client's brief, design requirements, budget and (where existing buildings are concerned) available building documentation. In consultation with our client and thier representatives, we prepare option studies for cladding or re-cladding options ranging from solutions that are sympathetic to the original design, to full remodeling of the premises.
In respect to re-cladding works, we fully understand the stress that such work involves, and the need to clearly advise on design solutions that can be recovered in a claim situation, against designs that may be assessed as being betterment. However, in all cases, the design will enhance the appeal of the asset, and in many cases any betterment cost be outweighed by the increase in value to the premises.
